Havre 911: Tuesday-Thursday

The following are reports from the Hill County Sheriff’s Office and Havre Police Department dispatch logs, agencies that also respond to animal control calls.


11:15 a.m., First Street convenience store. A man stole two beers. Police arrested a 66-year-old homeless man on charges of shoplifting and criminal trespass to property.

1:35 p.m., Wildhorse Road. Someone incurred a head laceration during a rollover crash.

1:43 p.m., 11th Street. Three people were racing dirtbikes around the MSU-Northern campus.

3:09 p.m., Washington Avenue. A caller reported someone slashed a tire on his truck.

3:39 p.m., County Road 651. A female was sleeping in an SUV on the side of the road and a man and woman with a stroller and two kids were arguing while walking down the hill, a caller reported.

3:50 p.m., First Street. A female was cussing at him in the alley, the caller told dispatch.


10:27 p.m., Boulevard Avenue. Police investigated a report about stolen water.

1:26 p.m., First Avenue. Police investigated a report prompted by a caller who said someone was taking a picture of his son while at the bus stop.

2:13 p.m. Someone threw a kitten out of a moving vehicle while driving on the viaduct.

2:53 p.m., U.S. Hwy 2. A stray puppy needed to be picked up.

6:24 p.m., First Street restaurant. Police investigated a dine-and-dash report at Uncle Joe’s.

8:40 p.m., First Street. A black Honda Accord was swerving all over the road.

8:55 p.m., 15th Street. A male was standing on the corner looking at houses.

9:25 p.m., Hwy 87. A male was drunk and his landlord didn’t want him there.

10:11 p.m., First Street. An animal was in distress.

10:16 p.m., Third Avenue. A caller reported finding a stolen vehicle.


1:09 p.m., Lincoln Avenue. The neighbor’s dog jumped into her yard, a caller reported. This was the second time it had happened.

1:28 p.m., Second Street. A dog bit someone.

4:02 p.m., Third Avenue. A suspicious male wearing shorts and snow boots appeared to be on something.

7:21 p.m., Montana Avenue. People were making threats.
