Havre Sector Border Patrol Arrest Mexican Citizens For Alleged Illegal Entry

Havre Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a man and a woman who entered the U.S. from Canada by evading a port of entry on Oct. 27.

The two people were citizens of Mexico and were arrested in the Havre area. They were processed for violating federal immigration laws and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“I am proud of the time and diligence our agents take on a daily basis to follow up on leads and develop good working relations in our communities, ” Chief Patrol Agent Sean McGoffin said. “Border Patrol agents maintain the utmost vigilance to ensure the continued safety of the American public from any potential threats.”

The job of U.S. Customs and Border Protection is to protect the U.S. against terrorist threats and prevent the illegal entry of people and dangerous materials into the country.
