Havre 911: Possibly Blind Poodles Wandering

The following are Havre Police Department and Hill County Sheriff’s Office reports made between May 1 and May 7. Both agencies respond to animal control calls as well.

Friday, May 1

7:26 a.m., 10th Avenue and Fourth Street. A caller said someone driving a red Explorer drove onto the sidewalk and almost hit him.

8:50 a.m., Ninth Street. Someone reported their front door was egged.

11:59 a.m., Sixth Avenue. A caller said a man was staring at her kids through the fence while they were playing.

12:19 p.m., Third Street. Someone found something strange in the alley.

1:52 p.m., Havre. A caller asked if officers could check on a drunken man who was in the alley.

2:12 p.m., Road 150. Someone accidentally butt-dialed 911.

3:18 p.m., U.S. Hwy 2 store. It looked like a man was smoking drugs in the parking lot, a caller reported.

6:37 p.m., First Street. Someone reported suspicious activity.

8:41 p.m., Bonine Drive. Police arrested a 41-year-old Havre man on a disorderly conduct charge.

8:49 p.m., Old Post Road. A possibly drunken couple was walking down the road, carrying a baby and arguing.

10:15 p.m., Havre. Someone wanted to speak to an officer about suspicious mail.

10:26 p.m., 10th Street. A couple was arguing in the hallway. Police arrested two people: a 20-year-old Rocky Boy woman on charges of resisting arrest, minor in possession of intoxicant, disorderly conduct, and obstruction; and a 38-year-old Box Elder man on a traffic warrant.

10:29 p.m., Hill County. Officers arrested a 34-year-old Great Falls man on charges of criminal endangerment, fleeing or eluding a peace officer, and reckless driving.

11:18 p.m., Second Avenue. A caller was concerned about little kids playing outside.

Saturday, May 2

1:21 a.m., Third Avenue. Two people were having a verbal altercation.

6:06 a.m., 14th Street. An idling silver Tahoe was parked on the curb with someone slumped over the steering wheel, a caller reported. Police arrested a 19-year-old Harlem woman on charges of aggravated DUI, minor in possession of an intoxicant, and driving without a driver’s license.

9:42 a.m., Second Street. Someone was missing a big, white dog.

12:01 p.m., Third Street. A caller said her friend may have taken her insurance paperwork and money.

2:33 p.m., 15th Avenue. Officers arrested a 34-year-old Havre man during a vehicle stop on several charges, including DUI and possession of dangerous drugs.

6:44 p.m., Third Avenue. A caller said he needed someone removed from a rental. Police arrested a 24-year-old Havre man on one count each of disorderly conduct and obstruction and two counts of resisting arrest.

Sunday, May 3

12:55 a.m., Rich Street. A caller reported loud music.

1:12 a.m., U.S. Hwy 2. Deputies arrested a 39-year-old Havre man on a warrant.

8:27 a.m., Hill County. Deputies arrested a 27-year-old Havre man on a warrant and on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, and possession of dangerous drugs.

9:18 a.m., Havre. Someone reported finding needles on the ground.

4:34 p.m., Havre. Someone reported they were being blackmailed over Facebook.

4:36 p.m., U.S. Hwy 2. Officers arrested an 18-year-old Havre man on a warrant and a charge of possession of dangerous drugs.

10:17 p.m., Fifth Avenue and Sixth Street. A possibly blind poodle was wandering westbound on Fifth Avenue.

Monday, May 4

12:39 a.m., Havre. Officers arrested a 31-year-old Havre woman on a DUI charge.

8:04 a.m., First Street. Someone told dispatch he saw a dark-colored pickup back into a light pole.

10:05 a.m., Havre. Dispatch received calls from three different callers about loose dogs.

10:26 p.m., Havre. A caller wanted to speak to an officer about an altercation back in February.

Tuesday, May 5

2:29 a.m., Ninth Avenue. A woman was screaming in the alley.

5:37 a.m., 18th Avenue. A caller reported that a man was knocking on her door.

11:14 a.m., 11th Street. A small child was playing alone.

3:02 p.m., Havre. A Havre police officer gave someone who was just released from jail a ride to Walmart.

3:47 p.m., Second Street. Kids were throwing rocks and damaging things in the alley.

5:02 p.m., Fifth Street. A caller said she was being stalked.

5:20 p.m., First Street grocery. A store manager reported a woman stole something. Five minutes later, another caller reported that a woman was lying in the alley by some trash cans, after which police arrested a 39-year-old Box Elder woman on a shoplifting charge.

5:42 p.m., Grant Avenue. A nice, brown dog was near her day care, a caller reported. She had put it on Facebook, but received no responses.

Wednesday, May 6

2:15 a.m., Ninth Avenue lodging business. Someone was breaking into the room next to his, a caller reported.

3:43 a.m., 11th Street. People in the alley were yelling and talking loudly.

7:25 a.m., U.S. Hwy 2 lodging business. Officers arrested a 32-year-old Havre man on DUI and possession of dangerous drugs charges.

11:11 a.m., First Street store. Someone reported that an infant was not in a car seat.

2:15 p.m., Fourth Avenue. A cat was injured.

5:58 p.m., Second Street. Police investigated a report from a caller who said the neighbor’s daughter stabbed his dog in the head with a sharp object.

7:19 p.m., Hwy 87. Someone driving a newer F-150 was swerving all over the road.

7:35 p.m., First Street store. A caller reported that a woman verbally assaulted her.

8:09 p.m., Hwy 87. A caller reported that her sister assaulted her and her daughter while they were in the car. Police arrested a 40-year-old Havre woman on a partner or family member assault charge.

Thursday, May 7

12:07 a.m., Ninth Avenue Northwest. A woman was screaming off and on.

7:09 a.m., Hwy 87. An older man was slightly impeding traffic as he was changing a tire, a caller reported. The caller thought that maybe an officer could help the man.

7:20 p.m., Third Avenue. Kids accidentally dialed 911.

9:02 p.m., Second Street. A caller called 911 to ask about a power outage.

9:12 p.m., Seventh Avenue. Someone else called to ask about a power outage.

9:55 p.m., First Street. Officers responded to a reported disturbance and arrested a 19-year-old on charges of obstruction, minor in possession of an intoxicant, and endangering the welfare of children.

10:13 p.m., Smithville Road. A man and woman were yelling.
